SECCIÓN OFICIAL – OFFICIAL SECTION
Producciones europeas no estrenadas comercialmente en España (salvo las españolas), que han sido o están siendo grandes éxitos de crítica y/o público en sus respectivos países, refrendadas todas ellas con diferentes premios nacionales de sus academias de cine o en festivales internacionales.

Productions from European countries, never screened commercially in Spain (except for the Spanish ones). Films that have been or are very successful with critics and / or the public in their respective countries, all of them endorsed by various national awards from their film academies or at international festivals.


PREMIO LUX 2016 – LUX AWARD 2016
El Premio LUX es un galardón cinematográfico establecido por el Parlamento Europeo
como un símbolo de su compromiso hacia la industria del cine del continente y sus esfuerzos creativos.

The LUX Prize is a cinematographic award, established by the European Parliament as a symbol of its commitment to the continent’s film industry and its creative efforts.

LO NUNCA VISTO – FILMS NEVER SEEN BEFORE
Películas no estrenadas o insuficientemente divulgadas, preferentemente de jóvenes realizadores que ofrecen planteamientos novedosos en las creaciones cinematográficas.

Films that have never been screened or have not had adequate promotion, with priority given to productions by young directors who have a novel approach to film-making.

EN RECUERDO DE BLANCA DE SILOS -  IN MEMORY OF BLANCA DE SILOS
La Muestra recuerda en esta sección a una de las grandes actrices del cine español de las últimas décadas, Blanca de Silos. Esta sección ofrece una cuidada selección de sus trabajos más significativos.

In this section, the Festival commemorates Blanca de Silos, one of the greatest actresses of Spanish cinema of the last few decades. This section offers a careful selection of her most important works.


CERVANTES / SHAKESPEARE: DON QUIXOTE VS HAMLET
MUCES recuerda y conmemora el IV Centenario de la muerte de los dos grandes escritores, con una sección donde las proyecciones, obras clave de la historia del cine, jugarán a enfrentar dos de las figuras más relevantes de la literatura universal, ambas fruto de sus respectivas plumas: Don Quijote de la Mancha y Hamlet.

MUCES recalls and commemorates the IVth centenary of the death of these two great writers, with a section where films, key works in Cinema History, will come into play to confront two of the most important figures from universal literature, both fruit of their respective pens: Don Quixote de La Mancha and Hamlet.


JÓVENES AL CINE – YOUTH TO THE CINEMA
MUCES lleva a los jóvenes al cine a ver películas europeas especialmente concebidas para ellos, con un relevante valor didáctico y pedagógico.

MUCES brings young people to the cinema to watch European films especially selected for them, with educational and pedagogical relevance.


DE LAS DOS ORILLAS - ON BOTH SIDES
Películas producidas entre países hispanoamericanos y europeos que dan lugar a una cooperación cada vez más importante y significativa, con títulos presentes en festivales y certámenes cinematográficos.

Films produced by Latin American and European countries, which are resulting in increasingly important and meaningful cooperation, with titles that feature at festivals and film competitions.


NIÑOS AL CINE – CHILDREN TO THE CINEMA
MUCES lleva a los niños al cine a ver películas europeas especialmente concebidas para ellos, con un relevante valor didáctico y pedagógico.

VIDEOARTE – VIDEO ART
Selección de trabajos de diferentes artistas de países europeos que utilizan las imágenes como soporte creativo.

A selection of Works by different artists from many European countries, who use images as their creative medium.

PROYECTO QUERCUS IV: CASTILLA Y LEÓN EN CORTO
QUERQUS PROJECT IV: CASTILE AND LEON IN SHORT
Una selección de 5 cortometrajes conforma “Castilla y León en corto”, un proyecto de la Coordinadora de Festivales de Castilla y León (FECCYL), con la colaboración de la Junta de Castilla y León, gracias al cual se posibilita la promoción y distribución de los cortometrajes castellano leoneses en los principales festivales y mercados cinematográficos nacionales e internacionales.

A selection of five short films that are part of “Castile and Leon in short”, a Project initiated by the Festivals Coordinator of Castile and Leon (FEECCYL), in collaboration with the Regional Government of Castile and Leon, thanks to which promotion and distribution of Castile and Leon short films is made possible at major national and international festivals and films markets.


LA MIRADA NECESARIA – LEARNING TO WATCH
Películas representativas de la cinematografía europea utilizadas para aproximar a los jóvenes al Séptimo Arte y enseñarles a ver cine europeo.

Representative films from the history of European film-making, used to introduce young people to the Seventh Art and teach them how to view European cinema.
